Write Impressions: From the Beginning

Write Impressions came to fruition in the mid-1980's. A creative concept devised by Cheryle Challé, she became the mastermind of a retail idea that now spans more that six stores. The shops have always been a source of intrigue and surprise for customers in their neighbourhood locales. In the beginning it was a spot to find great cards and stationery. In the years since, it has developed into a store that has become ‘the place’ to find a superb gift for everyone one on your list. Write Impressions is always looking for fun and new merchandise to fill the shelves in the shop.  The lines of cards and stationery has expanded (only but the best!), fine giftware and home accents have been introduced and most recently WI has stepped into the arena of home furniture.

Gorgeous gifts for men, women and children are core categories for Write Impressions. Together with her son Troy, who has been working in his mother's shops since he was young, the Challé's shops all have their own atmosphere that is at once welcoming and inspiring. Beautiful pens for every 'buff', tempt you with ideas of old fashioned letter writing. Baby blankets of the most luxurious cottons beg to be put into strollers for the little ones. Bath lines that scintillate with smells of clean eucalyptus and perfumed lavender offer the life of luxury in the tub! Not to be forgotten are the amazing arrays of things for the home - throw pillows, vases, kitchen appliances, and more...!

Christmas time is a way in which gift giving can become a explosion of ideas. A venerable cornucopia of wrapping paper, ribbons, decorations and seasonal delights fill the windows and tables at this time of year. Always at the ready with a helping hand or idea, the staff of each store supply people with great ways to wrap fabulous things in a different way. Linens, handbags, ornaments... you name it, anything can become the gift or even the wrapping!
